The meaning behind the song
After two long years of hard work in the studio, Isis Rosario would like to launch her latest release entitled “The Last Words.” Written and arranged by Isis this is her first original production. “The Last Words” was a collaboration with music producer and recording engineer Brian Lee owner of StudioBlee. Brian provided Isis the chorus and she ran with it. The song overflows with emotions including regret, despair, and longing. With the country at war, the idea of leaving home and not returning is a reality that Isis brought to life musically. “The Last Words” is a song that evokes longing and love to anyone who has not expressed the words that are so dear to many. Bringing her own experiences and originality into her musical endeavor one can only expect to be drawn in after listening to her angelic voice.
The meaning behind this song, and my feeling at the time that I wrote it, revolved around the uncertainty of not knowing when our time has come to say good bye. Making the decision to enter the ARMY I realized that this decision brought feelings of fear to my family, friends, and myself. The fear of the unknown, challenges that would be faced, and the emotional havoc such careers have, began as soon as I made my pledge to serve. Today and yesterday there have been so many who have lost their lives fighting for our country. Time after time they left their loved ones behind, not knowing if the last words said would be the last they hear. To all our loved ones (our heroes), those who are amongst us today, and those who are no longer here, and their families; I offer this song to you.
